I had some virus last week that gave me the Hershey Squirts for about 3 days last week. That cleared up, but now I’m left with a hemorrhoid. Any good treatment to help get this cleared up?

I hear they make ice packs you can freeze and put up your…yeah. You should be able to get them at a drug store. If anything see a doctor.

My boyfriend just had to have an emergency surgery to remove a very large external hemorrhoid this morning. He was given some strong pain medication but it isn’t working. Is there anything to help relieve the pain? Obviously sitting is very painful and he says laying down hurts also.
Other than that–what are some things I could put together for a “care” basket? I don’t know what to do for him. I feel helpless and I know he’s in a lot of pain.

I met a woman a couple of weeks ago who had the surgery and she was sitting on a donut cushion and was still in pain. She said she had it for 2 weeks and they said it could last up to 5 weeks.

The pain is so excrutiating and terrifying. Its unlike anything I’ve ever imagined. I feel like I can go sometimes but when I try I feel like I am going to pass out from agony. What can I do to try to reduce this pain? My doctor is not giving me anything to help and the pain meds dont cut it.

P.S. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROCEDURE UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY TO ANYONE!!!

I just had hemorrhoid surgery (staple procedure) 2 days ago and just had my first bowel movement. Afterwards my hemorrhoids seem to be the same as before the surgery. Just as large and all. Someone please let me know if this is okay and normal, orif I need to go back to the hospital.
